Summary

WebDevSnippets does not offer user accounts and does not ask you for personal information. We count how often components are viewed and copied, without identifying you, and we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used as a whole.

Usage statistics

When you open a component page or copy its code, we increase an anonymous counter for that component. We do not store your IP address with these counters. Our web server keeps standard technical logs for security and troubleshooting for a limited time.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see which pages and components are popular, which devices and browsers visitors use and how people find the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects data such as pages visited, approximate location and device information; it does not give us your name or contact details. Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent management platform before personalized ads are shown.

Component previews

Component previews run in an isolated sandbox and may load files from public CDNs (such as cdn.jsdelivr.net, unpkg.com, cdnjs.cloudflare.com and Google Fonts). These providers may receive your IP address as part of a normal web request.
