A friendly, email-safe win-back template for a meal kit brand: a "We miss cooking with you" headline, a rounded hero photo, a "What's new since you left" list with round thumbnails, a peach comeback offer card with a return button, and an honest one-click unsubscribe block. Use it to re-engage inactive subscribers before you remove them from your list.
How it works
The hidden .rem-preheader sets the inbox preview text. The sage .rem-wrapper table is the background, and .rem-container keeps the content at 600 px; an MSO conditional comment adds a fixed-width table for Outlook on Windows.
All content sits in one white card with border-radius, which modern clients round and Outlook simply shows square. The .rem-hero photo is 536 px wide inside 32 px padding. The what's-new list is a two-column table: a .rem-thumb cell with a 72 px image rounded into a circle, and a text cell with a bold title and one line of detail. The .rem-offer cell holds the large .rem-offer-big "50% off" line and a padded .rem-btn link that uses mso-padding-alt so the button keeps its padding in Outlook. Below it, an outlined "Unsubscribe in one click" link and a "get just one email a month" option make leaving easy, which protects your sender reputation. Text uses a 'Trebuchet MS', Arial stack.
Customization
- Replace
#1f4d3a(deep green) and#f08a64(peach) in the inline styles to match your brand; the offer card background is#fde6dc. - Edit the three list rows to describe real product updates; delete a row or copy one to change the count.
- Change the offer in
.rem-offer-bigand the 14-day window text, or swap it for free shipping. - Point the
.rem-btnlink to a deep link that applies the offer automatically. - Replace the
.rem-herophoto with a 1072 x 560 image for a sharp retina hero. - Shrink
.rem-titleand.rem-thumbin the@mediablock ofstyle.cssto tune the phone layout.
Accessibility
Every layout table has role="presentation", the email uses one h1 and an h2 for the list, and each photo has descriptive alt text. The offer, code window and list items are live text, so the message works with images off. Dark green text on white and peach meets WCAG AA contrast, and the unsubscribe link is a clearly labelled, full-size target rather than tiny footer text.
Usage notes
Patterns target Outlook 2016+ on Windows, Outlook.com, Gmail web and apps, Apple Mail and iOS Mail. style.css is optional and only adds a button hover and phone sizing below 480 px; inline it in a <style> block in the email head. Replace the "Hi there" greeting with your platform's first-name merge tag. Food photos are from Unsplash; use your own dish photography in production.
