Favicon Generator: ICO, PNG & Apple Touch Icon

Create a complete favicon package from an image, text or emoji: favicon.ico, 16–512 px PNGs, Apple touch icon, web manifest and the HTML to paste into your head tag.

Drop an image here, paste from the clipboard, or

JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP or SVG. Files never leave your browser.

HTML to paste into <head>

How to create a favicon

  1. Upload a logo or image, or switch to text or emoji and type one to three characters.
  2. Set the background color (or make it transparent), the corner radius and the padding. Previews show every size and a browser tab.
  3. Download the favicon package as a ZIP, upload the files to the root of your site, and paste the HTML into your <head>.

What is in the package

  • favicon.ico with 16, 32 and 48 px images for older browsers and Windows.
  • favicon-16x16.png, favicon-32x32.png and favicon-48x48.png for browser tabs.
  • apple-touch-icon.png (180 px) for iPhone and iPad home screens.
  • android-chrome-192x192.png and android-chrome-512x512.png plus site.webmanifest for Android and installable web apps.

Favicon tips

  • Simplify: at 16 px only a strong shape or one or two letters stay readable.
  • Use a solid background so the icon is visible on both light and dark browser themes.
  • Browsers cache favicons aggressively; after changing yours, test in a private window.

All processing happens in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to a server, so the tool works with private photos and keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
