How to resize an image
- Drop or choose an image.
- Type a new width or height. With the link button on, the other side follows to keep the aspect ratio.
- Or use a quick size: 25%, 50% or 75%, common web widths, a 1080×1080 square or a 1200×630 social sharing card. Fixed boxes are filled and cropped from the center.
- Choose the format and quality, check the new file size, and download.
Good sizes to know
- 1200×630: Open Graph and link preview images.
- 1080×1080 and 1080×1350: square and portrait social posts.
- 1920 px wide: full-width hero images on large screens.
- 800 px wide: blog images inside a text column.
Shrinking is done in steps with high-quality smoothing, which keeps edges sharper than a single resize. Enlarging cannot add detail, so start from the largest original you have. To cut out part of the picture instead, use crop, rotate & flip.
All processing happens in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to a server, so the tool works with private photos and keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
