What is a logo cloud?

A logo cloud is a row or grid of client, partner, investor or integration logos, usually introduced with a short line such as "Trusted by teams at". It is a lightweight form of social proof that tells visitors other organisations already use the product. Logo clouds appear directly below hero sections, on pricing pages, on about pages and in integration overviews. Variants include static grids, greyscale rows, bordered tiles and continuously scrolling marquees.

When to use a logo cloud

Use one when you have permission to display recognisable logos that matter to your audience. Five to ten logos are usually enough; more becomes visual noise.

Best practices

  • Prefer SVG logos for sharp rendering and small file sizes; set explicit width and height to avoid layout shift.
  • Give each logo alt text with the company name. If the logos link somewhere, the link needs an accessible name too.
  • Normalise visual weight: scale logos so they look equal in size, not equal in pixel width.
  • Greyscale or single-colour logos keep the row calm; check that they still have enough contrast against the background.
  • For scrolling marquees, provide a pause on hover and focus, and stop the animation under prefers-reduced-motion. Duplicate items for the loop should be hidden from assistive technology with aria-hidden="true".
  • Wrap logos into multiple rows on small screens instead of shrinking them until they are unreadable.

Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS and pure CSS versions

These logo cloud examples are available for Bootstrap 6, Bootstrap 5, Tailwind CSS and pure CSS. Bootstrap versions use the grid and flex utilities, Bootstrap 6 versions pick up the theme-* colour roles for backgrounds and borders, and Tailwind CSS versions are made with utilities. The pure CSS versions use Flexbox or Grid, and marquee variants are done with CSS animations. Filter by framework, check the layout in the live preview, then copy or download the HTML and CSS. Swap the placeholder logos for your own clients' marks and you are done.
